Member BTS Jongkook menjadi trending topik di Twitter setelah keputusanmya yang mengejutkan menghapus akun instagram miliknya.
Pasalnya, member berjuluk Golden Maknae ini sudah memiliki lebih dari 51 juta pengikut di Instagram, terbanyak ke dua dari member Taehyung yang memiliki pengikut 55,7 juta.
Selain itu, Kookie, nama panggilannya pun menulis pesan di aplikasi Weverse, yang bila diterjemahkan ke dalam bahasa Inggris, begini: "I deleted the app right way. I don't think there's something to do in the future! I will let you know in advance!! Ha."
Keputusannya untuk menghapus aplikasi Instagram didukung penuh oleh penggemarnya. ARMY, sebutan penggemar BTS memberikan beragam komentar untuknya.

Jungkook pertama kali membuat akun Instagram pribadinya bernama @jungkook.97 pada 6 Desember 2021 bersama enam anggota BTS lainnya, dan pada 28 Februari 2023 menyatakan pensiun dari Instagram.
